The Running of the Bays Half Marathon and OLL Incredible Festival 5K

The Running of the Bays Half Marathon is a certified half marathon course that starts in the quaint little town of Mound, Minnesota, and meanders through some of the most beautiful bays that lake Minnetonka has to offer. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School.

The OLL 5K Family Fun Run is for all ages and paces. Strollers are welcome at the back of the 5K start. The 5K will start from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School at 7:35 a.m. The 5K participants will line up behind the half marathon runners and follow them out. Your victory will come with a grand finish at the Bethel Methodist Church in downtown Mound.

Update on the Running of the Bays Half Marathon and OLL 5K routes.

Due to a major road construction project that will be closing two bridges along the half marathon route, we have made a change to both routes. They will both start and finish at the Bethel Methodist Church. The routes will start at the church lot and go two block to the Dakota Trail. Then runners will go out and back along the Dakota Trail heading east towards Wayzata. The turn arounds will be at the half way points for both (just East of Kings Road for the 5K and Orono Orchard Road for the Half Marathon.) Please note: due to this change, the half marathon is NOT A CERTIFIED half marathon. Also, to avoid congestion, we may start in waves. All specific details will be posted at a later date. Just wanted to get this update out to all runners now.
