The Running of the Bays Half Marathon and OLL Incredible Festival 5k

The Running of the Bays Half Marathon is a certified half marathon course that starts in the quaint little town of Mound, Minnesota and meanders through some of the most beautiful bays that lake Minnetonka has to offer. The half marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School

The 5K Family fun run is for all ages and paces. Strollers are welcome at the back of the 5K start. The 5k will start from the Mound Westonka Grandview Middle School at 7:35 a.m. The 5k participants will line up behind the half marathon runners and follow them out. The 5k is a continuation of the annual Our Lady of the Lake's Incredible Festival 5k. Your victory will come with a grand finish at the Bethel Methodist Church in downtown Mound.

You can admire the shimmering lake from our porch or snuggle near the crackling fire that burns brightly from our stone hearth. Order from our menu and wine list to your heart's desire. Then, once you taste your selections, you'll fully understand why our restaurant has earned a reputation of exceptional quality.


Packet Pick up

Packet pick up will be at Lord Fletchers on the wharf deck stage on Friday September 9th from 4:00 until 7:00. Same day pick up at the race will also be available.




WeCAN is accepting non-food donations the morning of the race. Suggested items that are greatly needed: School supplies and clothing for back to school needs but any items are welcome.

The Westonka Food Shelf will be accepting donations for the food shelf the morning of the race. Suggested donations are peanut butter, granola bars, coffee, but any non-perishable items are welcome.




Course Description

The Half Marathon will leave town in a northerly direction and first experience the country side via county roads and the Luce Line trail. Runners will leave the Luce line trail and merge with the soothing waters along the bays of Lake Minnetonka. You will enjoy running the home stretch back into Mound on the shaded Dakota trail!
